This design is informed by elements in early sketches for Nina Campbell's Topkapi printed fabric, which was inspired by ornate Iznik ceramic medallions, and stylised climbing foliage. The tile takes its name from the Topkapi palace, once home to the Ottoman sultans and now housing a stunning collection of decorative ceramic tiles.
